Gropp Electric History

Gropp Electric began as a sole proprietor business in 1990. Tad Gropp had help from previous generations in the start up of this business. His Grandfather, Earl Gropp was an electrical contractor in the Grand Coulee area in the 1950’s. He also was an electrical superintendent for a major Contractor and spent many years building dams across the U.S. including almost all of the dams in the Pacific Northwest. Tad’s dad Art was an electrical contractor in the Moscow/Pullman area from the mid 1970’s through the late 1990’s. After several years of steady growth, Gropp Electric incorporated in 1993 and in 1996, moved into their first shop at 3030 E. Mission. By the year 2000, Gropp Electric Inc. had grown out of the Mission St. shop and moved to their current location at 809 N. Helena, Spokane.

Over the years, Gropp Electric Inc. has specialized in commercial electrical service, projects large and small and phone and data cabling. Many Spokane buildings have had Gropp Electric technicians complete work in them. Gropp Electric Inc. has worked with many of the area’s quality General Contractors, Suppliers, Sub Contractors, and Civic Organizations.

Today, Gropp Electric Inc. has maintained a standard of excellence that is matched by very few. Gropp Electric Inc. employee’s pride themselves on giving their customers a great product at a reasonable price. Gropp Electric Inc. has many of their original customers from 1990 and continue to maintain the high standards that they are accustom to.
